Co-Branding
Co-branding represents the strategic partnership between Simio and our valued partners through visual identity. When executed properly, co-branding strengthens both brands while maintaining their individual integrity.
Co-Branding Principles
- Equal Visual Weight: In co-branded materials, the Simio logo and your company logo should appear with equal visual prominence, though neither should dominate the other.
- Brand Separation: Maintain clear visual separation between brands to preserve the distinct identity of each. This includes appropriate clear space between logos.
- Consistent Positioning: Position brands consistently throughout a single piece or campaign to reinforce the partnership relationship.
- Brand Integrity: Never alter either logo to better match the other. Each brand should appear according to its own guidelines.
Color Usage in Co-Branded Materials
The Simio brand utilizes a specific color palette that must be respected in all co-branded materials. The primary Simio green should be used consistently and never altered in hue, saturation, or brightness. When incorporating partner brand colors, ensure sufficient contrast between all elements while maintaining color accuracy for both brands.
For backgrounds, neutral colors often provide the best foundation for co-branded materials. White backgrounds are preferred for most applications as they allow both brands to maintain their visual integrity. When colored backgrounds are necessary, ensure they provide adequate contrast for both logos and complement both brand palettes.
Digital and print applications may require different color specifications. Always use CMYK values for printed materials and RGB/HEX values for digital applications to ensure color consistency across all media.
Digital vs. Print Co-Branding Considerations
Digital co-branding requires attention to screen resolution and file format. For website applications, use PNG format with transparent backgrounds for the Simio logo. For email signatures and digital documents, ensure logos are appropriately sized for clear visibility without dominating the content.
Print co-branding requires higher resolution files (minimum 300 dpi) to ensure crisp reproduction. For print applications, use CMYK color values and vector formats (EPS or AI) whenever possible. Large-format printing may require special considerations for logo sizing and placement to maintain visual impact at a distance.
Multi-logo Lockup
A multi-logo lockup provides a standardized approach for displaying the Simio logo alongside partner logos in co-branded materials. These guidelines ensure both brands maintain their visual integrity while creating a cohesive presentation that clearly communicates partnership relationships. Proper implementation of these standards protects brand equity and presents a unified appearance across all marketing materials.
Side-by-Side Configuration
The preferred arrangement for horizontal layouts. Logos should be aligned along their visual centers with equal height. Your brand logo must appear to the left of the Simio logo. Maintain clear space between logos equal to at least the height of the Simio triangle mark.
Stacked Configuration
For vertical layouts or limited width spaces, logos may be stacked. In this arrangement, your company logo must appear above the Simio logo with clear space between equal to the height of the Simio triangle mark.
Divider Line Option
When appropriate, a neutral vertical divider line (Hex #939699, 1pt width) may be placed between side-by-side logos. The divider should be 75% in height to the smaller of the two logos.
Spacing and Sizing Requirements
Proper spacing between logos is essential for maintaining visual clarity and brand distinction. The minimum clear space between logos in any configuration must equal at least the height of the Simio triangle mark. This clear space should be preserved regardless of the overall size of the lockup.
When sizing logos within a lockup:
- Both logos should appear visually balanced, though not necessarily identical in physical dimensions
- Your brand logo must appear more prominent than the Simio logo
- The Simio logo should be the same height or width as your brand logo, but NEVER larger
- The Simio logo must never be reproduced smaller than the minimum size requirements outlined in the brand guidelines
Lockup Application
Your brand must always be prominent, either placed above or to the left of the Simio logo. This positioning is essential to avoid confusion to the consumer and to maintain proper brand hierarchy in partnership materials.
The Simio triangle mark clear space rules apply to the logo and form a natural grid for the creation of the lockup with your brand. Use this grid system to ensure consistent spacing and alignment across all applications of the multi-logo lockup.
In all applications, the Simio Brand Signature should NEVER appear to the left or above your brand logo, as this incorrect positioning implies Simio’s prominence over your brand. The partner brand must always maintain the primary position in the visual hierarchy.
